Train travel offers a real alternative to the car for many longer distance journeys. Located on the East Coast Mainline Newcastle Central Station provides direct links to the major cities in the UK, and a 3.5 hour journey time direct to London Kings Cross. Blaydon Station, a mile to the east of the site provides some four services per day into Newcastle with intermediate stops at the MetroCentre and Dunston.
